Bobby Lee Peacock, 86, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022. Per his wishes, there will be no services or visitation for the public. Private graveside service for immediate family only will be held at a later date in Norway Cemetery in Norway, Iowa.
Bobby was born June 16, 1935, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Leonard and Audrey (Weichman) Peacock. The family lived in Benton County. He received his education in the Benton County schools. Bobby was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Marine Corps. He was united in marriage to Janis Hodgden in the summer of 1960. Bobby worked in the construction industry and then 32 years of service with W.R. Grace (Cryovac) Cedar Rapids Plant, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Cedar Rapids VFW Post #788.
He is survived by his wife, Janis; son, Randy (Christine Hotz); and a grandson, Jeremy Daniel Peacock, all of Cedar Rapids.
