WILLIAM HUNTER KNEBEL

William "Bill" Knebel, 76, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Dec. 19, 2021. After graduating from Jefferson High School, Bill joined the U.S. Navy where he served in the Vietnam War. Bill enjoyed hiking, listening to bluegrass music and visiting the sand
dunes in Glamis, California. He enjoyed a lifelong career as a gear machinist.
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane, and their children, Joe and Kelsey; along with three grandchildren, Tommie, Tyson and Hunter; as well as two nieces, Shawn Gibson-Schild and Kelly Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Melissa Knebel; and his sisters, Mary Alice Knebel, Sandra Gibson and Linda Myers.
A memorial service for William will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301.
