Delores Ann Nutt Ruiz, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
She is survived by her son, Lynn Ruiz; a brother, Leonard Nutt (Colleen); sisters, Alyce Ballard and Leota Shayer; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Paul Ruiz.
Delores Ann Nutt Ruiz was born July 24, 1935, in Dysart, Iowa, to Lawrence and Garvene Nutt. She graduated from Belle Plaine High School. She then attended American Business School in Omaha, Neb. She worked in Washington, D.C., for 11 years at Western and The Pentagon. She then returned to Belle Plaine, where she worked at the Belle Plaine Nursery until retirement.
She married Paul Ruiz on April 8, 1965, in Marengo, Iowa. He passed away Feb. 17, 2019.
