Rockne "Rocky" D. Dales, 65, of Robins, died Sunday Jan. 2, 2022. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will
be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Kathryn Dales; his son, Ryan J. Dales and his daughter, Jenna K. Dales both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his mother, Dona Jean Wilson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his sister, Pamela (Larry) Wilson of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and beloved dogs, Chloe and Presley. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and good friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Donald Dales.
Rocky was born Dec. 1, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of James and Dona (Wilson) Dales. He married his best friend, Kimberly Powrie on Oct. 10, 1981, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Rocky graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids in 1975 and attended the University of Iowa. He started his passion in the avionics business in 1985 at Intertrade and ended in 2018 with his retirement from CR Avionics.
People who have worked with him have nothing but great things to say. He truly put his all in his career and treated everybody the right way. He loved everyone.
Rocky loved being outside. He would go stir crazy being indoors for too long (No matter the weather) biking on his trike, riding his motorcycle and kayaking. He always had a passion for sports. Rocky and Kim got a camper last summer and had so much fun with it. They had planned for many more trips this spring/summer.
Rocky most importantly was the best husband and father anyone could ask for. He loved caring for his wife and being a dad. His family and friends meant to world to him and he'll be greatly missed by all. Please leave a message for the family on our website www.cedarmemorial.com under obituaries.
