Carlyle "Bud" Wilcox, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. Family and friends will gather from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Private family burial will be at Pence Cemetery, Baldwin, Iowa.
Casual dress is encouraged. Face masks will be required.
Survivors include his children, Scott (Patty) Wilcox, Laurie (Steve) Ebsen, Dustin (Paula) Wilcox and Thomas (Jessica) Wilcox; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn (Raymond) Tarbox and Dennis (Connie) Wilcox; and brother-in-law, Larry Glick.
Bud was born near Baldwin, Iowa, on May 20, 1942, the son of Marvin and Maxine (Bieber) Wilcox. He enjoyed staying active and spending time outdoors. Bud rode on 25 RAGBRAI tours across Iowa and loved to canoe and snow ski. He walked many miles every day no matter the season. Bud was also an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Bud.
