Invest in people, not tax cuts for the rich

Iowa should not cut taxes for the rich and big business. Federal funds provided $200 million for broadband, $100 million for affordable housing and $30 million for workforce shortage.
Tax credits for the rich removes major state income. Sales taxes are a higher percent of income for the non-rich.
Iowa did not use all the federal housing funds. Gov. Kim Reynolds took all three vaccines while Iowa had over 7,000 deaths from lack of a vaccine mandate. Pandemic funds were used for non-COVID-related personnel salaries. Requests for more information are being refused.
To get and keep an educated workforce, we need to get back to supporting excellent education and a healthy place to live.
