Margaret "Maggie" Viola Lanning, L.P.N, C.C.D.N., was born Dec. 4, 1930, to Ivar and Emmy Peterson at Bessemer, Mich., and died Dec. 16, 2021, in Marion, Iowa.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
She was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers and twin infant sons.
She is survived by five children, "Cile" Nabers (Mark) of San Antonio, Texas, Scott Lanning (Sue Lewis) of Hubbard, Ore., "Tina" Joyce Dietzgen of Marion, Iowa, Laurence "Larry" Lanning (Marie) of Bessemer, Mich., and Greg Kennedy (Elvie) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Elayne Fisher Community Cupboard at Unity Church or to the HACAP Food Bank.
