Robert D. "Sam" Crawford, 96, of Independence and Winthrop, Iowa, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 15, 2021, at the Denver Sunset Home in Denver, Iowa.
Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at the Fawcett-Schmitz Funeral Home, Winthrop. Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Final resting place: Oakwood Cemetery, Independence, Iowa. Sam is survived by his son, Greg (Sue) Crawford of Des Moines; two daughters, Connie (Robert) Leibold of Strawberry Point and Cindy (Paul) O'Loughlin of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
