The giving spirit spreads joy at Christmas

On Saturday, Dec. 11, a friend and I were eating at a local family restaurant and were overwhelmed by the generosity of another customer. We had ordered our meal and were eating when the server came and picked up our check and told us that someone had paid for our meal. Not only had he picked up our check but that of another couple in the booth behind us. Thanks to him for being an inspiration to others to do the same. He must feel joy knowing that he gave from his heart to spread the spirit of giving at Christmas. It is indeed more blessed to give than to receive and I hope he is reaping what he has sown. Let’s each of us be inspired to give to others during this Christmas season and beyond. I will pay it forward in some way … I just haven’t decided in what way.
