Cedar Rapids
Edna Davis, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, at Heritage Specialty Care. Celebration of Life gathering will be from 4 to
7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St., SW. Private family inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Solon.
Edna was born Nov. 21, 1926, in rural Johnson County, the daughter of Milo and Mina (Minor) Randall. She graduated from Ely High School. Edna was united in marriage to Merlin "Mick" Davis in 1966. She worked at Collins Radio/Rockwell Collins for many years until her retirement. Edna enjoyed going out with the gals for lunch every month, watching Golden Girls and Wheel of Fortune, collecting spoons from various travels, as well as collecting newspaper clippings for the ones she knew. Family was very important, as she looked to the gatherings at the holidays, playing cards and spoiling the grandkids. She was an avid gardener and was proud of her "fern peony" which stayed with her for many years. Edna has been reunited with her husband and they are most likely already causing chaos. She will be greatly missed by many.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Trudy Levien of Kalona; two grandchildren, Paula (Eric) Miltner of Cedar Rapids and Tracy Levien of Coralville; two great-granddaughters, Kerry and Kristi Levien of Cedar Rapids; 10 great-great-grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merlin" Mick" Davis; great-great-grandson, Little Peanut; and her sister, Jean (Joe) Zbanek.
