Judy (Martin) Hawk, 83, of Moravia, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at The Landing on Dundee in Wheeling, Ill.
Judy was born Sept. 5, 1938, in Moravia. She graduated from Moravia High School in 1956. She married Richard Hawk on June 17, 1956. They had three children: Jeff, Brian and Noelle.
Judy loved to read. She volunteered with the Ruitans and was a member of the Garden Club. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially the Fourth of July and when she and Richard traveled to Mundelein to celebrate Christmas during Thanksgiving.
Judy was an office manager at Goodyear Tire, Jacobson Electric and Rudd Chain in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, until she retired in 2003.
Left to honor her memory are her children, Jeff (Bernie) Hawk of Mundelein, Ill., Brian Hawk of Woodstock, Ga., and Noelle (Jamal) Jaddaoui of Wheeling, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Brad (Stephanie Sipola) Hawk, Samantha (Jecoa) Osoria, Elizabeth Hawk, Tyler Hawk, Megan (Brian Morin) Hawk, Brandon Hawk and Jawad Jaddaoui; and three great-grandchildren, Asher Osoria, Mason Hawk and Rowan Hawk.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hawk; her parents, Max and Laura Jean Martin; one sister, Joyce Dicks; and two brothers, Larry and Terry Martin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. (CST), May 7, 2022, at Lange Funeral Home in Moravia with Pastor Christy Ehrle officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia. A visitation will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
