Sandra "Sandy" Lou Burgess, 77, of Amana, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, at Colonial Manor of Amana. Per her wishes, Sandy was cremated and there will be no services. Entrusted with the arrangements is Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Sandy was born Jan. 18, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Ivan and Hester (Gentz) McGuire. She is survived by her two sons, Scott (Alicia) Burgess of North Liberty, Iowa, and Jeff (Alesia) Burgess of Amana, Iowa; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two siblings, Lon (Bernie) McGuire and Jay (Chris) McGuire; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Sandy was a devoted and wonderful mother, sister, grandmother and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank all the staff from Colonial Manor of Amana for their love, support and tender care given to Sandy.
