Stephanie Jo Von Lienen, 63, of North Liberty, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Dec. 7, 2021.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service,

605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to her family to be distributed to organizations that were important to Stephanie.

Stephanie was born March 25, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa to Donald Lehman and Judith (Nelson) Snyder. She grew up in Iowa City and graduated from West High School. Stephanie married the love of her life Chris Von Lienen in Iowa City in 1985. The couple raised their son, Chase and enjoyed more than 35 memorable years together before she passed away, two years after the devastating loss of their son.

Stephanie worked at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in the benefits office for more than 25 years, where she worked up until her death. She had many cherished friends that she met during her dedicated service at the hospital.

She loved trips spent with her family to Walt Disney. But it was her love for helping others along with her heart of gold that made her such a great person to have in your life. Stephanie's love for her family never went unnoticed and will be missed greatly by her family.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Von Lienen of North Liberty, Iowa; her mother, Judith Snyder of Lone Tree, Iowa; her siblings, Robin Starbuck (Gene Russell) of North Liberty, Iowa, Terry (Bonny) Lehman of Iowa City, Iowa, and Rita Vickroy of Georgia; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and friends.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her father and her son, Chase, in 2019.
