Dec. 8, 2021 6:00 am
BROOKLYN — The Brooklyn Opera House will be this year’s host of Nada Silent Night, the annual holiday music show by Iowa band The Nadas, on Saturday. Attendees will get to hear holiday music mixed with some of their favorite Nadas tunes.
The annual concert also will serve as a drop-off location for Toys for Tots, which was founded in 1947 by the United States Marine Corps to help bring holiday joy and send a message of hope to less fortunate children.

“We are excited to bring this annual holiday event to the Brooklyn Opera House,” said Laura Manatt, general manager. “The Nadas have been a vital part of Iowa’s music ecosystem for many years, bringing together fans of all ages for this much-anticipated holiday event. We’re also proud to be able to give back to those in need through the Toys for Tots drive.”
Tickets for Nada Silent Night are available online at https://nadassilentnight.eventbrite.com. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy with them for the Toys for Tots drive. U.S. Marines will be on-site to help collect toys.
The Nadas have written, recorded and performed together for more than 25 years, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Iowa. They’ve recorded more than a dozen albums and have played with the likes of The Beach Boys, Bon Jovi and Huey Lewis. Visit www.thenadas.com for more information about the band.
