Landowners and interested parties are invited to learn more about what it takes to establish quality wildlife habitat to attract and retain various game species.
The event is Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided by Jackson County Pheasants Forever.
Guest speakers and topics include:
• Greg Schmitt — Iowa Department of Natural Resources, private lands biologist, site selection and preparation;
• Adam Jacobsen — Maximum Forage Food Plots, successful food plot installation and management;
• Chris Henze — Johnson County Secondary Roads, roadside vegetation manager, invasive species management;
• Lori Schnoor — United States Department of Agriculture-Natural Resources Conservation Service, district conservationist, cost share programs.
