Show us your homemade holiday gingerbread creations

From social media photos, we know Eastern Iowa kitchens and icing artists have been baking up holiday gingerbread houses. We’d like to share as many homemade creations as possible in The Gazette’s Living section on Christmas Day.

Please send us a high-res photo and brief explanation of your gingerbread house and who all had a hand in making it, from baking to decorating. What materials did you use? Is this a long-standing family tradition or a first time effort? What did you learn from the experience that will help you next year? Where are you displaying your creation, and what’s to become of it as its shelf-life ends?
