Iowa City police arrest two in downtown shooting
One man injured in incident at Old Capitol Town Center parking ramp

IOWA CITY — Iowa City police have arrested two men in connection with a shooting that injured a man early Sunday at the Old Capitol Town Center parking ramp.
In a news release, police said they arrested Darnell F. Martin, Jr., 21, of Coralville and Mason D. Ward, 18, of Cedar Rapids. They each face a charge of reckless use of a firearm causing property damage.
According to a news release, police responded at 1:25 a.m. Sunday to a report of shots fired at the ramp at 220 S. Capitol St. Officers found evidence that multiple shots were fired.
One man was taken to a hospital with what police believe is a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
