UPDATE: Burglary charge dismissed in plea agreement
Jared Jensen pleaded guilty to second-degree theft and the second-degree burglary charge was dismissed in May 2022. Jensen was sentenced to two years probation.
IOWA CITY — A Cedar Rapids man was arrested Tuesday after University of Iowa police say he stole thousands in equipment from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics on Nov. 1.
Jared Scott Jensen, 32, has been charged with second-degree burglary.
Police said over $3,500 in tools and welding equipment was stolen from a locked work site, which was not specified. An officer identified the defendant on surveillance video entering the locked portion of the hospital, according to a criminal complaint.
