Deborah Balik, 66, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held in spring of 2022. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Deborah was born on Feb. 13, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Ramona (Cantwell) Smetzer. After graduating high school, Deborah went on to attend Patricia Stevens Business College. Deborah will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Deborah is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Nicholas Balik of Marion; two brothers, Dennis, and Dan Smetzer; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard, and Ramona Smeltzer; brother, Lee Smeltzer; and twin sister, Diane Smetzer.
