SHARON RAE (TIMMER) PAUL
Westmont, Ill.
Sharon Rae (Timmer) Paul, 74, died peacefully Nov. 12, 2021, at her home in Westmont, IL.
She was born March 4, 1947, in Monticello, Iowa. After graduation from high school, she enlisted in the Army and served our country at Fort Harrison in Indiana. She earned her BA accounting degree from the University of Dubuque. Her work ethic and love for family were traits deeply engrained from her parents, but her sense of humor was all her own. Sharon was a retired employee of Alliant Energy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Joyce Timmer; and one son, Lonny Paul.
She is survived by her son, Andrew (Holly Koenig) Paul of Pittsburgh, Pa.; daughter, Lorri (Andy) Stapleton of Westmont; sister, Susan Ripple of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Gary (Rose Mary) Timmer of Rochester, Minn.; and grandchildren, Erin Stapleton, Meghan Stapleton and Katie Stapleton.
A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28, at Faith United Methodist Church in Downers Grove, Ill. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to DuPage Pads; https://dupagepads.org/donate/
