JANE K. COSCINO
North Liberty
Jane K. Coscino passed Nov. 22, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.
Jane Louise Kepcke was born July 27, 1934, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She attended Simpson College and Drake University. During her life, she enjoyed three different careers, a teacher, banker, and human services worker. Although she lived most of her life in Iowa, she spent 20 years in Panama City Beach, Fla., before moving to Coralville 20 years ago.
Jane loved all kinds of art and spent much of her life learning about different art forms. She enjoyed painting, drawing and pastel drawing and even took a class on jewelry making. During her retirement, she found her true artistic passion in quilting. She also showed her talents through the many costumes and dresses she made for her daughters and granddaughters.
She said the past 20 years were her happiest being close to her family, watching her grandkids grow up and engaging in art through quilting and knitting. She enjoyed going to museums, watching movies, attending art shows and reading.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother.
She is survived by her three children, Terri Reeve, Kevin (Jeri) Reeve and Lisa (Kevin) Barnes; as well as her six grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Molly, Matthew, Miranda and Jason.
Jane donated her body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice or Summer of the Arts.
