Ronald William Neyens
RONALD WILLIAM NEYENS
Roy, Wash.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald William Neyens, 74, on Nov. 14, 2021. Ron, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Wash., with his family by his side.
Ronald was born May 26, 1947, in Sante Fe, N.M., to the late Alfred and Aileen Neyens (Krumbholz).
He is survived by his best friend and wife, Merry Jo Neyens; twin daughters Patricia Uhron (Mark) and Melissa Perry (Jeff); grandchildren, Logan Perry, Ethan Uhron, Colin Uhron and Samantha Melendez; great-grandchildren, Christian and AliAna Melendez; and siblings, Shirley Philipp, Linda Neyens and Phillip Neyens.
His daughters shared the following tribute:
Heaven gained an angel, an amazing husband, the most incredible and supportive dad, proudest grandpa, Honorable Veteran, loyal friend and our forever hero. Knowing us meant knowing our dad and chances are, he impacted your life in some positive way. He never met a stranger and was the kindest, gentlest and most generous man. He and our mom shared a one-of-a-kind-love for 51 years and gave his girls the best life. Today looks a lot different without you but our memories will live in our hearts forever. We love you Dad. Rest easy, we've got Mom.
To quote our dad: "I can die a happy man. I saw my Eagles win the Super Bowl and my Cubbies win the World Series. Holy Cow!"
