MICHAEL "MIKE" BAGEN

Michael "Mike" Bagen, 63, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for Michael Bagen under the video tab starting at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom.
Survivors include nieces and nephew, Abbigail Fisher, Emily (Brandon) Macklin, Brent (Ciarra) Bagen and Angela Pape, along with two great-nieces and one great-nephew; brother in-law, Jim Fisher; and sister in-law, Carol Bagen.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruth Bagen; sister, Kathleen Fisher; and brother, David Bagen.
Michael was born April 7, 1958, in Iowa. Michael graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson in 1976, attended Kirkwood Community College and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. He worked as a chef until taking a position in food service with Mount Mercy University. Michael's hobbies included golfing, skiing, biking, working out at the gym, running with friends and attending Iowa Football games! Michael will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Mount Mercy University.
