Mark Ellingson Jayne, 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, joined his mother Audra Eleanor Jayne, and father Arnold Jayne on Nov. 10, 2021.
There will be no formal services per his request. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and inquiries can be directed to Jennifer Jayne at (319) 521-6247 or jmjchief@yahoo.com.
He is survived by his brother, Kent (Michelle) Jayne; daughter, Jennifer Jayne; daughter, Sara (Rod) Baldwin; his longtime companion, JoAnn Collins; and special family, Chris Eggers, and her children, Courtney, Daniel and Sarah.
Mark was a unique individual. He never lacked for words, sometimes hard to hear, but never intended for hurt. He survived many challenges including brain cancer and came out on top. He lived passionately with all his heart, on his terms and shared his wisdom whether asked for or not.
He was resilient with whatever faced him and the best way to remember him, was as a survivor.
