Phyllis Maria Kirkpatrick, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at her home. A graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at Wellman Mennonite Cemetery in Wellman, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family with arrangements.
Phyllis was born June 29, 1947, in Rock Island, Ill., the daughter of Joseph and Thelma Marchiando. She attended East Moline High School and went on to
graduate from Indian Hills Community College as an LPN. Phyllis dedicated her life to raising her children.
Survivors include her son, Ian (Tanya) Pate of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Jennifer Miller; four grandchildren; brother, James Marchiando of Silvis; and close friend, Brian Weltha of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Thelma Marchiando; daughter, Christine Kirkpatrick; and son, Aaron Pate.
