Randy Deaton, 55, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Nov. 8, 2021. Memorial services:
3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20,
with a visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial at the Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Ginger; sons, J.R. (Lindsey) Perrin and Dale (Morgan) Deaton; daughters, Stacey Perrin, Audrey (Chris) Deaton and Krystal Deaton; as well as grandchildren, Devin (Kinzie), Dawson, Paxton, Abby and Ryley. Also expecting a granddaughter, Maeson Randy-Louise and great-granddaughter, Baby Wiley. He is also survived by his mother, Connie Deaton; sister, Charyn Deaton; and many nieces and nephews.
Randy was born in Columbus, Ind., on Nov. 3, 1966, the son of Virgil and Connie (Bethards) Deaton. He went on to become a decorated combat veteran of the U.S. Army, something he was very proud of. His greatest joy in life was being a husband, father and papa
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Ray Deaton and mother-in-law, Virginia Louise Ruby.
Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
