RaMona Dietzman, 85, of Cedar Rapids, passed away due to complications of dementia on Nov. 9, 2021, at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. No funeral services will be held per RaMona's request.
RaMona Marlyne Stogsdill was born March 15, 1936, in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Martha Winona (Briggs) Stogsdill. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Iowa, on May 26, 1954. RaMona met Ronald
Dietzman in 1957 at Danceland Ballroom they were united in marriage on May 11, 1958, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Handler Motors, Collins Radio, Merchants National Bank, Erb's Office Services and Marian Ahrens and Associates as a Realtor. RaMona and Ron frequented many local cafes such as Barlow's/Randall's, Ashley's, Tommy's and Scott's to socialize with friends. In the midst of raising her own three biological children, she helped raise Ron's sister, Diana and also Ron's niece, Christine.
Those left to honor RaMona's memory are her husband of 63 years; Ron; her children, Randy (Denise) Dietzman, Ricc Dietzman and RoxAnne Dietzman Drake; and three grandchildren, Crystal, Brandon and Austyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings and their spouses; and her niece, Christine.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House.
