Jessica "Aica" Tamayo Saldivar, 53, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, in her home. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. There will be a Celebration of Life from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at the Swisher American Legion, 68 Third St. SE, Swisher, IA 52338.
Jessica was born May 27, 1968, in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Jesse and Connie (Tamayo) Saldivar.
Aica is survived by her daughter, DejahRay (Fernando) Bauman; her siblings, John "Tito" (Tianna) Saldivar, Paulette Gandara and Fernando (Bailey) Saldivar; her nieces and nephews, Bianca, Cameron, Caleb, Calen, Celayna, Chase, Devon, Diego, John, Jaxson, Lincoln, Mauricio, Noah, Nico, Nicole, Paul Jr., Shae, TeraJade and Xander; her dear friend, Jeff Voshell; and her father, Jesse.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Smith; her brothers, Paul Saldivar and Jesse "Indio" Saldivar; her grandmother, Momo; and uncle, Roy Tamayo.
