Linn County will benefit from solar projects

For years, Iowa has benefited from a thriving wind and clean power industry. We have over 5000 people employed, $21 billion has been invested, $129 million has been paid in local and state taxes and almost $70 million has been paid to Iowa farmers — and that's great.
But Linn County hasn't yet had the opportunity to benefit. And now our chance is here! There are two proposed solar projects for Linn County, the Coggon Solar Project and the Duane Arnold Solar Center. These two projects will invest hundreds of millions of dollars in our community, pay millions in new taxes and provide for Linn County farmers. This is clearly a winning opportunity for Linn County.
