Shop for Shelter raises more than $47,000 in donations for DVIP
This year’s Shop for Shelter event fundraiser for the Domestic Violence Intervention Program raised $42,400 in goods and supplies, along with $4,962.59 in cash, gift and online donations for the shelter. On Oct. 23, Hy-Vee shoppers in Coralville and Iowa City could purchase items for or donate to the shelter. The amount raised exceeded that of the 2019 event.
Next year’s Shop for Shelter event is scheduled for Oct. 22, 2022.
