Mount Trashmore trails, overlook close for the season after Nov. 12
The Mount Trashmore trails and overlook will close for the season on Nov. 12 at 4 p.m. Beginning Tuesday, the trails and overlook will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. (The trails are closed Mondays.) The trails and overlook The trails will reopen in spring 2022 when the weather allows.

More than 16,000 people visited Mount Trashmore this year, starting in April. More than 500 people signed up for the Mount Trashmore Challenge of ascending it 140 times, the equivalent of scaling Mount Everest. As of Oct. 26, participants made 8,905 climbs and 25 people completed the challenge.
