Iowa slides to No. 19 in AP poll after second consecutive loss
Hawkeyes fall in rankings after losing by 20 to Wisconsin

IOWA CITY — Another loss, another fall in the Associated Press poll.
Iowa fell from No. 9 to No. 19 in the latest AP poll released Sunday after suffering its second consecutive loss to an unranked opponent.
In a three-week span, the Hawkeyes slid from No. 2 to No. 19, their worst ranking in the AP poll in 2021.
The Hawkeyes also took a tumble in the USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, falling from No. 10 to No. 16.
Wisconsin remained unranked despite its 27-7 win against Iowa on Saturday, but the Badgers had the third-most votes among unranked teams.
The Big Ten has five teams ranked in the AP Poll, including three top-10 teams.
The first College Football Playoff rankings of the season will be released Tuesday night.
