Charles Gene "Chuck" Hartman, 65, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Oct. 25, 2021, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. A celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Chuck was born Feb. 10, 1956, the son of Charles Sr. and Carol (Poulson) Hartman. He attended Jefferson High School and held various positions in the construction field throughout his life. Chuck loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially for morels.
Survivors include his son, Jeremy (Jessie) Hartman; grandchildren, Dakota, Shaylyn, Aubri and Otis Hartman; great-granddaughter, Rosalina; brothers, Chris, Casey (Patti) and Craig (Deb); half brother, Jeff (Julie) Taylor; and his nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Carol; and wife, Annette.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Mercy Medical Center and Oldorf Hospice House for their compassionate care.
