Jourdan Paul Reeder, 36, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 25, 2021. Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 4420 Center Point Rd., Cedar Rapids, Iowa. There will
be a visitation one hour prior starting at 9:30 a.m. at the church.
Jourdan was born Dec. 3, 1984, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Jeffrey Reeder and Mary Gehris. He graduated from Xavier High School in 2003. Jourdan was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids. Jourdan and Melinda (Borchardt) were married on Oct. 1, 2011, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda (Borchardt) Reeder; and his four children, Zakiya (11), Nolan (6), Archer (4) and Brynn (4); his mother, Mary (Tim) Gehris; a brother, Keaton Reeder; and grandparents, David and Linda Schulte and Charlene Reeder.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Reeder; and grandfather, Richard Reeder.
Jourdan was happiest when he was spending time at home with his wife and children. He will be remembered for his deep love for them.
