Bob Fraser, 77, of Iowa City, a former resident of Montclair, N.J., and Mount Crested Butte, Colo., passed away peacefully Oct. 13, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. His family held a private service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Gunnison Valley, 307 N. Main St. Suite 2E, P.O. Box 1295, Gunnison, CO 81230.

Bob was an adventurous man, passionate about the outdoors, skiing, sailing, camping and traveling but most of all, he was devoted to his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Trudy Fraser; daughters, Kirsten (Ben) Oldread of Crested Butte, Colo., and Megan Fraser of Iowa City, Iowa, formerly of New York City; three grandchildren, Wyeth, Nedda and Anders; sisters, Jackie Bryant of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Karen Fraser of Pittsburg, Pa., Elaine Orzechowski of Little Falls, N.J.,, and Mary Swenson of Iowa City, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Janet Spanko of Thompson, Pa., and Nancy Rapp of Iselin, N.J.; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends across the world.

Bob was preceded in death by his infant son, Ian; his mother. Irene (Hedberg) Fraser; his father, M. Douglas Fraser; and his stepmother, Margaret (Schlottman) Fraser.

Bob's family extends their deep appreciation to Serene Hospice Care in Iowa City for the care they provided to Bob and his family.
