Tracee Lynn Parrott, 48, of Cedar Rapids died Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness with cancer. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Teahen Funeral Home.
Tracee is survived by her husband, Josh; daughter, Sydnee; two sons, Eli and Evan, all of Cedar Rapids; parents, Allen and Linda Howe of Cedar Rapids; brother, Todd (Sheri) Howe of Palo; two sisters, Tami Howe and Tiffany Howe, both of Cedar Rapids; in-laws, Patricia Parrott of Shellsburg and Arvin and Joyce Parrott of Covington; sister-in-law, Jodee (Tim) Schaefer of Solon; brother-in-law, Rex Chekal of Chicago; nieces and nephews. Drake, Alyssa, Olivia and Spencer; dogs, Bode and Baco; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Tracee was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd and Roma Jean Dicken and Everett and Alma Howe; and cousins, Norbert Sedlak III and Adam Kane.
Tracee was born Nov. 1, 1972, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Allen and Linda Dicken Howe. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1991. On Jan. 17, 2000, she married Josh Parrott in Jamaica. Tracee worked as a paraprofessional at Taft Middle School.
Tracee enjoyed shopping, going to casinos to play the slot machines, decorating her house and spending time with her family and friends. She loved having a good time and was always the life of the party. She never missed her children's activities and loved going to Friday night lights.
Instead of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Jefferson High School Athletic Association.
