Valeri A. Thomas, 68, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021.
Valeri Ann Thorson was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Jean (Jahnke) Thorson. She was united in marriage to Terry Thomas on Aug. 28, 1993.
Val loved cross stitching. She loved animals of all kinds and always had extra space in her heart for strays. She had a kind soul and a big heart. She had many stuffed animals. She loved The Lord and is with her Lord and family now. She suffered a lot with pain and doctors wouldn't believe her, but she put up with it. She believes she was Native American.
Valeri is survived by her husband, Terry; sister, Robin (Steve); brothers, Marty (Rita) and Jon (Connie); stepson, Justin; a large extended family; and her beloved cat, Onyx.
Valeri is preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Val's family.
