Two killed, one injured in head-on collision in Buchanan County
Officers believe vehicle crossed the centerline along Highway 150 Monday afternoon

Two have died and one person is injured following a crash near Hazleton in Buchanan County on Monday, the Iowa State Patrol said.
Shortly before 3 p.m., first responders and law enforcement agencies responded to a crash on Highway 150, just north of the intersection with 140th Street and south of Hazleton.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Nicholas Johnson, 40, of Oelwein, was driving his vehicle southbound on Highway 150 when it crossed the centerline and struck head-on a vehicle driven by John Friend, 70, of Davenport.
Johnson and Friend were killed, according to officers.
A passenger in Friend’s car, Pamela Robinson, 65, of Davenport, was injured. She was transported by air ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A vehicle traveling behind Friend’s vehicle was struck by debris from the collision.
The crash remains under investigation, the Iowa State Patrol said.
