David Wayne Akerly, 59, passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 8, from 2 to 6 p.m.
David was born on March 25, 1962, in Iowa. He is the son of Peggy Ann Akerly and the late Billy Dean Romig Sr. David was an avid fan of Rock-n-Roll music.
Survivors include his mother, Peggy; his brother, Billy; and his sisters, Kathy and Vickie. David was preceded in death by his father, Billy Romig Sr.; and his grandparents.
