Gerald Arthur Kubik, 85,
of Central City, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, at his home. Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, Iowa, with visitation
to begin one hour prior. Burial: Walker Cemetery, Walker, Iowa.
Jerry was born March 3, 1936, in Walker, Iowa, the
son of Joseph and Francis (Stroleny) Kubik. He was a proud U.S. Marine who served his country honorably from 1956-58. On Aug. 26, 1972, Jerry was united in marriage to Doris Parbs in Cedar Rapids. He retired from Cargill after 45-plus years of service. Jerry enjoyed bowling when he was younger, and he was a lifelong Hawkeyes fan. He loved to hunt and go target shooting with his family. Jerry will be dearly missed by his friends and family who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his children, Gerald J. (Karla) Kubik and Judy (Rex) Hamilton; stepdaughters, Susan (Ray) Holder and Debra (Michael) Swain; grandkids, Jecynda (Dan) Snyder, Zackary (Callie) Kubik, Jason Hamilton, Nathan Hamilton, Keagon Hamilton, Stacey Hamilton, Seth Skelton and Tyler Bryant;
great-grandkids, Stevie Bean Snyder, Sonny Daniel Snyder, Frances Love Kubik and Warren Grey Kubik; and sisters-in-law, Grace Kubik, Kay Kubik and Bonnie Kubik.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; parents, Joseph and Francis; daughter, Geri Lee Kubik; siblings, Gladys Zavodsky, Martha Zeadow, Edward Kubik, Stanley Kubik and Raymond Kubik; and
brothers-in-law, Jerry Zavodsky and Max Zeadow.
