Diane L. Smith, born Dec. 24, 1934, in North English, Iowa, to Albert and Mildred Smith, died Sept. 25, 2021.
Diane graduated from North English High School in 1952 and St. Luke's School of Nursing in 1955. She was employed by the St. Luke's Methodist Hospital, Pediatrics Department for 42 years.
Diane is survived by her brothers, Jim and Brad Smith, both of Cedar Rapids, and Jack of Gig Harbor, Wash.; sisters, Kaye Meyn of Venice, Fla., and Kathy Smith-Banes of Westlake, Ore.; aunt, Dorothy Wiley of The Dalles, Ore.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A gravesite memorial service and time of sharing will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at North English Cemetery.
Memorials maybe made in her name to Mercy Hospice in Hiawatha, Iowa.
