Barry Woodson, 62, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Sept. 18, 2021, following a motorcycle accident in Clayton County. His last day was a good day, spent riding with friends. He was the son of Vince and Carol Woodson who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sisters, Vicki Laird (husband Tony Laird) and Valerie McCallister (friend Bob Bartley); and his sons, Tyler Woodson and Tanner Woodson.
Barry was active in 4-H as a 4-H leader for the Dandy Doers 4-H Club and served on the Linn County Beef Committee and Linn County Goat Committee for the fair. Barry served on the Alburnett School Board from 2003-2009. He was also active on the Linn County Cattleman's Association for 25 years. He enjoyed helping on the many fundraisers, cook outs and dinners. Barry also spent many hours at the Fellowship Hall volunteering.
There will be a celebration of life from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at the Linn County Beef Barn and Show Ring. The Linn County Cattleman will be cooking hamburger and hot dogs in his honor and other food will be provided. Please stop by and help the family celebrate Barry's life.
