Donna Arlene Meyer, 87,
of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, after a short illness. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Donna is survived by her son, John (Holly) Meyer of Pittsboro, N.C.; a daughter, Susan (Tony) Reed of Marion, Iowa; three grandchildren, Dustin Reed of Marion, and Ariayna and Amarya Meyer of Pittsboro; along with many nieces and nephews; and partner, Bill Elliott of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Meyer, in 2004; a daughter, Lisa; and her parents.
Donna was born Aug. 21, 1934, to parents William and Zereta Larimer in Marion, Iowa. She graduated from Marion High School in 1952. Donna was united in marriage to Richard Meyer on Oct. 17, 1959. Donna was a secretary for many years and retired from CRST. Donna enjoyed knitting, baking, doing puzzles, spending time with family and her favorite grand-dogs, Bella and Bentley, who brought her so much joy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
