Kenny was born in Beloite, Kan., on October 1928. Kenny moved as a child to Iowa during the Great Dust Bowl. Kenny was a proud paratrooper during the Korean conflict for the U.S. Army. Kenny was a residential milk delivery man, he then moved to driving a semi and retired as a long term employee of Hometown/Roberts Dairy. Kenny and his wife Jan enjoyed RV-ving and spent many winters in warmer climates hanging out with friends. Kenny was a proud member of the Solon American Legion Post 460, participating in many Honor Guard ceremonies. Kenny lived on his family farm in Anamosa along-side his brothers. Kenny lived life to the fullest, enjoyed time outside fishing, never wanted to miss his time with coffee buddies, and loved and cherished time spent with family and friends.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeannette Ann Coder; his children, Connie Beck (Gary), Karan Ruzicka (Denny), Kenneth Coder and Dixie Mueller (Russell); daughter-in-law, Teresa Coder (wife of Kevin); stepdaughter, Cindy Drahos (John); his brother, Larry Coder; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many other nieces and nephews.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Iva Coder; brother, Lyle Coder; son, Kevin Coder; and stepgrandson, Johnny Drahos.
The family would like to thank Teresa Coder for lovingly taking care of Kenny during the last five months of his life and countless others for their support.
