Robert P. Moody, 63, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the funeral home.
Robert was born Dec. 2, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Jack and Shirley (Daniels) Moody. He was united in marriage to LuAnne Luzum on June 3, 1978, at St. Jude Catholic Church. Robert worked as a forklift operator at PMX until his retirement in March 2021. He enjoyed fishing and anything outdoors. Above all else, Robert was a loving family man.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, LuAnne Moody; children, Brian (Christina) Moody and Jason Moody; grandson/son, Robert Moody; adopted sons, Javi Moody and Adrian Moody; grandchildren, Brian "Bubba" Moody II and Stephanie Pierce; two beloved foster children; sisters, Rhonda Reamon and Renae Moody; brother, Ronald (Marianne) Moody; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Shirley Moody; and sister, Rebecca Moody-Jensen.
