Police searching for suspect who robbed Walford bank
The robbery happened just before noon Wednesday

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person who robbed a Walford bank before noon Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office said it received a report of a bank robbery around 11:30 a.m. at Central State Bank, 345 Highway 151 W in Walford. The robber fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, the sheriff’s office said. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured.
The suspect is described as a male of unknown race or ethnicity, standing roughly 5-foot-10 with an average build. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a mask.
After fleeing on foot, the man is believed to have headed south from the bank on Highway 151 in a dark colored Chevrolet SUV with no license plates.
The case remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
