John Foster, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Mercy Hospice due to complications from cancer.
John was born in Pella, living in Ottumwa and Cedar Rapids. He served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. He worked at Quaker Oats for over three decades as an electrician and department supervisor. He was passionate about his family, hunting, fishing and Westerns.
John is survived by his wife, Linda;
sons, Stacy and Shawn; grandchildren, Rachel, Austin and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Faith and Ameila, with two more on the way; and his sister, Kay Staats of Wichita, Kan. He will be truly missed.
The family will hold a private service at Cedar Memorial.
