She was affectionately nicknamed 'Toots' by her father at an early age and the name stayed with her all her life. She was a 1947 graduate of Owatonna High School. Lenore was united in marriage to Marshall Matejcek on Aug. 22, 1953. Together, due to Marshall's career, they lived in several Iowa towns before moving to Cedar Rapids in 1967. She and Marshall loved traveling together including their winter trips to Florida, many cruises and family time on the lake in northern Minnesota.
Lenore was always her kids and grandkids biggest cheerleader at their many sporting events and activities and spent many hours on the bleachers. She always will be known as a friend to everyone and having a kind and loving soul.
