Barry Joe Lockridge was born Oct. 20, 1955, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Ardith Lee and Mary Rose (Northup) Lockridge. He grew up in the Amana community and graduated from Amana High School. He went on to obtain his electrician's journeyman certificate. Barry worked as an electrician for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. In March 1997, Barry was united in marriage to Nicole Marie Foltz in Jamaica. They lived in North Liberty before making their home in Williamsburg. He enjoyed riding his Harley with friends. Barry died on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at Compass Memorial Healthcare in Marengo, at the age of 65 years.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole of Williamsburg; two daughters, Kayleigh Marie Bauer of North Liberty and Alaina Jean (Rick) Sedlacek of Wellman; four grandchildren, Cooper Girvan, Lacey, Addy and Mila Sedlacek; and a sister, Jan (Bill) Grabe of Shueyville.
He was preceded by his parents.
