Iowa men’s basketball schedule 2021-22: Hawkeyes play Purdue, Illinois in December

Consider this possibility, Iowa fans: You can see the Hawkeyes play men’s basketball at Purdue on Friday night, Dec. 3.

The following night is the Big Ten football championship game in Indianapolis, 65 miles from the Purdue campus in West Lafayette, Ind. Iowa doesn’t have a spot secured in that contest, but it’s within the realm of possibility.

The Big Ten released its men’s basketball schedule of 2021-22 conference games Wednesday. Iowa’s game at Purdue starts things, then the Hawkeyes host Illinois Dec. 6. They close the regular-season exactly three months later at Illinois.
